Rosie Lambert - Founder Warbler

When I had the idea of forming Stockport Warblers, I did this with the help of my Mum, Rosie and my partner, Gray.  They fully supported me from the word go and became my co-founder Warblers.

My Mum was a big part of Warblers and threw herself into it heart and soul.   Her catchphrase was "I've never heard of this one!" yet she always sang along....in time and in tune!

She visited a Care Home each week with a friend to facilitate a sing-a-long for the residents there, brightening their day; not just with the singing but also with her cheeky, impish sense of humour.

My Mum passed away in December 2020.

I was not able to resume Warblers until recently as it was just too painful to do it without my Mum there and to be all too aware of the empty chair.   However, she would not have wanted Warblers to finish as she loved it and thought it was a great idea and a great concept so I felt I had to do it - for her.

So for you, Mum, we will carry on Warbling and hopefully bring fun and joy to people -  in your honour and in your memory.

There will never be another Warbler like you and you are forever loved and missed.
